THERMAL INSULATION INSPECTION

Saudi Arabia government makes thermal insulation mandatory for new buildings from February 2013. Ministry of Water and Electricity has mandated all new buildings in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia to install thermal insulation.

The Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) has been appointed to oversee the regulation, inspection process and evaluation system for the approval for global insulation companies to be able to offer their material in the Kingdom. SEC has nominated Qeraton Arabia as the initial testing and Evaluation Company to evaluate the insulation companies to have their products evaluated.

Qeraton Arabia performs the testing and evaluation of insulation using special technologies such as thermal imaging, power consumption modeling and U value measurement set out by Qeraton Arabia in line with SEC specifications.
